Tips for getting the best results

Characters

Fewer characters per shot = better results

AI models work best with 1–2 character references per shot. Think like a filmmaker: close-up on Character A, cut to B, then a wide establishing shot. The audience stitches the scene together.

Style

Your style pack is your visual DNA

Every project starts by choosing a style pack. Browse 15+ artist-crafted styles. Once you pick one, it carries through the entire project.

Characters

Character references are optional but powerful

Upload clean headshots or portraits with the face clearly visible. Avoid group photos, busy backgrounds, or images where the character is small or partially hidden.

Storyboard

Let the AI pick camera angles

The storyboard auto-generates cinematic camera angles based on your story. The defaults are designed for visual variety; avoid forcing the same angle on every shot.

Storyboard

Write concrete scene descriptions

AI needs specific, paintable descriptions. 'Oliver sitting on a mossy log in a dark pine forest, head bowed, rain dripping from the canopy' beats 'Oliver feels sad in the forest.'

Limitations

Complex action scenes are hard

AI struggles with fast-paced sports, martial arts, and physics-heavy action. Stick to emotional beats, conversations, journeys, and establishing shots for best results.

Audio

Stories work best with voiceover

Your voiceover drives the entire timeline. Record your own voice, upload a file, or choose from 500+ AI voices. You can even clone your own voice.

Audio

Don't forget the finishing touches

Add background music, captions, and text overlays in the Composer. Keep music subtle: 5–15% volume works best. The AI music generator creates custom tracks that match your story's mood.

Workflow

Regenerate shots, not the whole story

Every regeneration adds to a shot's image carousel. If a shot isn't right, regenerate just that one. Thumbs-down a shot to get a free regeneration.

Workflow

Use Do It For Me for quick results

Want to see your story come to life fast? Use 'Do It For Me' and Pippa handles everything automatically. You can always fine-tune individual shots afterward.
